Nova Scotia Food and Beverage is a provincal government marketing initiative to promote the incredible products and the people behind the products that make them special. The industry we serve are experts at their craft – and because great things happen in small places, we’re proud to share the tastes of our home with the world.
Our Products
Vegetables, Plant-Based Products and Nutritional Supplements
Nova Scotia grows a wide range of quality vegetables and offers viable plant-based products and nutritional supplements to support healthy lifestyles and niche dietary markets. Our coastal climate, clean water, and fertile soil make our farms ideal for vegetable crops. With a long history, our farmers use the best practices to grow quality produce. Use our products for wholesale, retail, and food service across Canada and the world.
Fruit and Berries
Import our fresh or frozen fruit and berries to eat on their own or enrich the flavours of other products. Modern farming techniques, fused with our rich history and fertile soil ensures our fruit and berries are high quality, safe and sustainable. Wild blueberries are our largest fruit crop. The town of Oxford, Nova Scotia is the wild blueberry capital of Canada.
Apples are a sweet, diverse fruit and our second largest crop. Home to the oldest apple orchards in Canada, the Annapolis Valley’s apples have been growing for close to 400 years. Eat them fresh on their own or you can choose the best flavours for ciders, pies, and more.
You can import many other fruits from Nova Scotia. Strawberries are refreshing and sweet and we also export strawberry nursery plants. Add a healthy splash of flavour with the rich, tart taste of cranberries. Straight from the vineyards, our premium grapes are world-famous and make excellent wines. High bush blueberries, Haskap berries, and raspberries are also cultivated and rich in health properties.
Non-Alcoholic and Alcoholic Beverages
Nova Scotia has a variety of premium quality alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages available for export. Nova Scotia is home to award-winning distilleries, wineries, craft cideries, and breweries. Choose from a wide range of beers, ciders, wines, spirits, and more. Our clean water and pristine natural environment keep our drinks fresh and delicious. Juice, coffee, tea, sparkling water, fermented beverages, and liquid supplements are just some of the non-alcoholic beverages we offer.
